I grew up to listening to Biggie, Nas, Jay-z, Mob Deep, Fabolous, but there was always something about Biggie that separated him from the rest. I remember walking around in high school reciting his rhymes, riding the subway with my walkman and biggie was always the tape of choice. He took over the game and it was taken away from him after he was shot and killed on March 9, 1997. His funeral drew out thousands and so many are still to this day saddened by his death. They took the life of one of the illest rappers to ever do it. Over a decade later and his legacy still lives on as if he just dropped a new single. Biggie took Hip Hop and created a pathway for so many today and when he passed he took a piece of Hip Hop with him. RIP Biggie Smalls your legacy will live on forever!
